I was thinking, mainly because of whats happening in Disturbed Docks, perhaps we should make a new rule. This would be something that encourages players to get their acts together and post.
If someone visits the the site, and a group of roleplayers are depending on her/his post to continue something like a fight, and s/he does not post, then her/his opponent(s) can lengthen their attack by posting once every day (in that fight) until said person has finally posted.

example.

RPer 1
Avy turned on a dime and latched his teeth into his opponent's neck.

RPer2
Carbine snarled, twisting around and grabbing Avy by the throat. "Your territory is mine!"

*Next day, RPer 1 has visited the site, according to her profile, but hasn't posted, or given an excuse. (like, "sorry, problems. can't be on.) RPer 2 can lengthen her attack.

Rper 2
Carbine thrashed his head, nearly ripping out Avy's throat.

This would encourage players (including me) to get over their "writer's block" and put down something for the others, for it is not fair to the others if you're lazy.
(I'm still including me as one of these lazy people)

Why don't you just edit you post, instead of posting another one?

And what if you are waiting on a user who hasnt come on for a long time? Like there are 3 people RP-ing, one hasnt come on for a long time, and whilst the first RP-er is posting, you come on, yet the second RP-er hasn't come on, and there isn't much for you to post.

Dragon: This rule is only being applied to those who have shown up on that day, but haven't bothered to post. LIke Mist today. Except she showed how much of animals and the (existing) rules of this site she really knows.

And when it comes down to it, we're all just chasing away new members who actually want to use this site, but are chased away because we won't/ appear to not want to rp with them.

And I have come to decision about the rule.

I think that rule would be fine, but I would like to make a change to it. I think that you should have two chances to come online and post. If you come online but dont post the first time, then you are still safe. If you do it again though, then the person can attack you again.

Because there might be a reason they didn't post the first time (they had to leave quickly), so they get a second chance.

And the third time? I just keep adding attacks, yes?

I think that also new players and people who had been gone for a while could be excused from this rule. Just so that they can get used to role-playing again, and once they are used to it, the rule also applies to them. just a suggestion, but it would help or else we'd chase newcomers away with nearly killing them in the first week. Nothing against the rule.
