Chief and Silhouette were the tops of the "v" , Moonset and Howling Memories were behind them, and behind them were Taz and Silent Mist were behind them, and Ice, the slowest of the lot physically was at back point.
Hawk Flight looked at each member of his pack and whispered. "As a reminder, Ice, I want you there only when its time for the kill bite, I don't want you to be trampled. Howling, Moonset, Taz, keep the prey running in circles once we have surrounded. Silent, Silhouette and I will go for the bites. Understood?"

Silent Mist nodded, his tongue licking his maw with hunger. Silent flicked his tail and crouched next to his brother, raising his head a little taller.

Howling nodded in approval. He heard his tomach grumbling slightly, but only loud enough for him to hear. He sighed n hunger. He crouched lightly lowe to the ground, looking a little bit like a cat ready to jump out at its prey.

taz nodded and got in position to get ready to run. his brother ice nodded in approval of his place.

Light sat. waiting to go and annoy the elk. She had to admit, this would be kind of fun. Promise was still giving Swift a sideways glare, but was still ready to dart when needed. Light waited patiently to be told to go.

Hawk Flight howled for only Light to start.
The elk were unbothered by this. Many wolves were in the territory, and many of the elk knew they were healthy enough to be ignored by wolves.

Light darted forward immieditaly. She yipped at the elk, nipping a few lightly here and there. She made herself look like she was trying to play, and got into a play position. She sanki half her body downwards and wagged her tail. She continued her yipping and nipping, hoping to drive the elk in the right direction.

The elk mildly watched her, unimpressed by the small, lone wolf. They kicked at her, walked away or just stared and kept grazing. The bull elk with the hurt leg was just a little more nervous then the rest and lowered his head, pawing at the ground.

Light grinned. She started to kick dirt into some of their eyes and nip at some of th efaces. She continued her annoying yipping, flinging loads of dirt at them. Hehe this is fun. Light thought.

The elk did not take kindly to the atempts to bite their faces. They charged her for a few feet then turned back to the herd, but the bull elk bellowed and lowered his head, kicking up dirt. He charged Light, nearly catching her with the sharp points of his antlers. He continued like a unstoppable train, only ready to give up chase when the wolf was crushed underneath his hooves or skerwered across his antlers.
